Saarbrücken is the capital of Saarland in western Germany. The city is located in the valley of river Saar and is a railway junction close to the French border. The love for the French is present everywhere - in picturesque alleyways and yards, or small bistros and numerous restaurants. The three most beautiful locations in Saarbrücken are Schlossplatz, Ludwigsplatz and S:t Johanner Markt, surrounded by the small alleyways of the old town.
