In the Paris of the North, as the city is also called, the LGBT festival called Homsø, is arranged in the autumn. The city is beautifully situated on the island of Tromsøya, and has both the northernmost university and brewery, Mack's Bryggeri A/S, in the world. Tromsø is the largest city in north Norway and from here, you can fly both to Svalbard and Murmansk.
