Kiruna (Northern Sami: Giron, Finnish: Kiiruna) is the northernmost town in Sweden, situated in the province of Lapland and is the seat of Kiruna Municipality in Norrbotten County. Kiruna is known worldvide for the Ice Hotel in Jukkasjärvi and the Citys Ice Hockey team marked it's support of LGBTQ rights in 2014 by choosing the Rainbow colors as their own. The same year a local LGBTQ-organisation was formed and the first ever Sápmi Pride was held in the city where also the Swedish Sami Parliament , Sametinget, has it's seat.
