Jönköping is closely linked with neighbouring city Huskvarna and is beautifully situated by the south shore of lake Vättern. A little canal flows through the city connecting lake Munksjön with Vättern. The city is the ninth largest in Sweden and is locally referred to as "The Jerusalem of Småland" because of the high number of evangelical churches and born again Christians. RFSL has an active association with its own facilities. Tourists are recommended to visit the birth house of Dag Hammarskjöld, former Secretary General of the UN, the city park and the Johan Bauer museum. Agnetha Fältskog, of ABBA fame, took her first piano lessons in Jönköping - in a church.
