Sylt is a German island in the North Sea. It belongs to the North Frisian Islands in Schleswig-Holstein. There is no road connection to the mainland but a railway that transports cars over. The whole island is a big sandy beach and you travel here to relax in the beach chairs, ti bicycle or just go swimming. In the last 40 years Sylt has attracted Germany's jetset, many celebrities have houses here. In the mains town Westerland, the walking street is lined with designer boutiques, chic restaurants and trendy bars. In the evening, there's an amazing silence on the beach at sunset.
