Kos belongs to Greece and is one of the Dodecanese Islands in the Aegean Sea. The "father of mecicine" Hippocrates, was born here in the 4th century B.C. The temple of Asklepion is dedicated to medicine. During the summer months Kos is dominated by package holiday tourists but Kos has managed to keep things small. Here you won't find any highrise hotels. However, there are hundreds if restaurants, bars, cafes and nightclubs. If you want to enjot yourself all night through, this is the right island.
