Antibes is a city in southeast France, on the Riviera, between Cannes and Nice. The city was founded by the Greeks as Antipolis during the 4th century. Antibes has an old city centre with a maze-like network of streets, alleyways and squares. Picasso worked here, and in the neighbouring cities for several years, so Antibes has a Picasso museum. The province also has beach resort Juan-les-Pins, where most of the hotels and beaches are. The port of Antibes, Port Vauban, is one of Europe's largest port for private boat owners, with many luxurious yachts. Many celebrities spend their holidays here. The nightlife and the exclusive clubs are found in Juan-les-Pins.
