Canberra is the capital of Australia. It's a so called planned city and building it began in in 1913 to ease the rivalry between Sydney and Melbourne. Canberra is close to the Brindabella Mountains and about 150 kilometres from the east coast of Australia. The scenery around the city is a mix of eucalyptus savanna, open grass plains, bushland, swamps and try eucalyptus forests. There are four seasons, the summer is warm and dry and the winter is cold with heavy fog and a bit of snow.
