Johannesburg is the largest city in South Africa and is also called Joburg or Jo'burg. The city is not the capital of South Africa as many believe. The climate is dry, showers of rain do occur but only in late afternoons between October and April. The gay scene is different compared to Cape Town, but is continuing to grow also here. From Johannesburg it's easy to get to Pretoria. The inhabitants here speak Zulu, English, Sotho, Tswana and Afrikaans.
