Beautiful, dramatic Bonifacio is situated on the southern tip of Corsica. It’s a town and an area that can’t be missed. This small town is something extraordinary, resting on limestone cliffs 100 metres above sea level. Not a good excursion if you’re afraid of heights. There’s a main street that is somewhat straight, otherwise the city is jumble of alleyways where the sun never reaches. To get to the oldest part, La Haute Ville, you have to climb steep steps and cross over a drawbridge.
