The coronavirus has caused a political chain reaction across Europe. In the last few months we have seen a number of worrying incidents of politicians exploiting the situation to clamp down on already restrictive legislation on abortion, LGBT rights and sex education. One example is the law recently passed in Hungary that makes it impossible to change one’s legal gender. RFSU has brought together activists from Georgia, Ghana, Malta and Hungary to comment on the situation on the ground, along with an expert from RFSU who will provide an international overview.

On the panel:
Lika Jalagania, Human rights and monitoring center (EMC), Georgia
Mac-Darling Cobbinah, Centre for Popular Education and Human Rights, Ghana
Liza Caruana-Finkel, Voice for Choice, Malta
Tina Orbán, Transvanilla and Transgender Europe, Hungary Sara Österlund, RFSU
Moderator: Ulrika Westerlund, RFSU

The panel discussion will be live streamed in this facebookevent.
