Gay and Lesbian Information Centre (in short: GLIC) was opened with a cooperation between Estonia Gay League and Institute for National Health on 10th june, 2004. Since January 1st, 2008, GLIC is funded by Institute for National Health, wich is funded by Estonia's Ministry of Social Affairs.
The exact location of the Centre at the moment is Tallinn's Old Town, Rüütli street 16.
GLIC serves purposes as:
raising awareness of sexually transmitted diseases and safer sex among gay men;
free distribution of brochures, forced condomes and water based personal lubricants;
raising awareness of homosexuality in Estonia;
sharing information about and between non-govermental organisations and other institutions dealing with sexual minorities involving LGBT(lesbian, gay, bisexual and transvestite/transsexual) people;
hosting a little library, wich contains LGBT thematic writings such as books and magazines; people visiting GLIC can read them on site or borrow writings for reading at home;
providing Public Internet Access Point for people visiting GLIC(Note: not for use of chat rooms)
