Toulouse is situated in southwestern France by river Garonne. It's the fourth largest city in France. Toulouse has ´locally produced brickwork that's pink and most of its older buildings are built with it. That's why the city is called the pink city (la ville rose). Toulouse is a modern city but it's proud of its cultural heritage. The main office of airplane manufacturer Airbus is located here. The gay scene is not like Paris, especially not during the weeks. But during the weekend it wakes up, and as always in France, quite late.
