The city is situated on the southern shore of Faxaflói Bay and temperatures vary between 14 degrees Centigrade in the summer and just above zero in the winter. Here you begin a journey around one of the worlds more magical landscapes. Landscapes that the Nordic people have enjoyed since Ingólfur Arnarson arrived here around 870 AD. With a city of 118 000 inhabitants, the Pride celebrations with 40 000 people is very impressive. Almost all of Reykjavík take part in it.
